Hi, I’m Rena (she/her), a registered counsellor who knows what it's like to carry pain that doesn't always have words. I offer in-person sessions in Nelson, BC, and virtual support across the province. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling in your relationships, healing from trauma, or simply trying to find your way back to yourself—I’m here to help.
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and groundsed in the belief that you are not broken. You are responding to life in the best way you know how—and together, we can build new ways of coping that honour your strength and story.
I bring together evidence-based therapy (like EMDR and narrative therapy), body-based practices from yoga, and a deep respect for your lived experience. My own background—a blend of cultural roots, motherhood, and over a decade of working with people facing complex life challenges—shapes the way I show up: with compassion, curiosity, and care.
Outside of sessions, I’m often out in nature with my daughter, snowboarding in the winter, paddle boarding in the summer, or just soaking in the quiet beauty of the Kootenays. I believe healing isn’t just something that happens in a therapy room—it happens in the spaces where we feel most connected and most ourselves.
